Brian Deane was one of the biggest disappointments for me. He came to Leeds
having scored a shed load of goals for the Blades in his famous partnership
with Tony Agana (who also turned up at Leeds late in his career).

Like Keith Edwards a few years early Deano found goals hard to come by and I
was always astounded by the amount of time he spent on the wing where actually
he was probably most effective. For a big lad he was too nice and rarely got
stuck in especially inside the 6 yard box. He was replacing Lee Chapman but
never did.

The highlight of his Leeds career was scoring a brilliant solo goal at White
Hart Lane which got us into Europe.

He was always liked by the Leeds fans probably due to the fact he was from
Leeds.
