Got to say I agree with everything you say Dave. Lees was just shocking (as was Kebe) I think our best two in central defence are Pearce (who is always steady away) and Zaloukas (sp). I feel a bit sorry for Zaloukas - one bad (shocking!) game against Wednesday and he's dropped from sight, not even making the bench.
I'm definitely not in the McD 'Out' camp but he doesn't seem to know what he wants to do. He's tried every combination of players and none have worked out. I was glad to see Diouf involved last night but in my mind, if he is involved he should be coming on for the last 20 or so. In his interview post-match last night he (McD) had a go at the board about all the shenanigans going on. He also said that Varney had asked him not to be involved last night as he did not want to pick up an injury and jeapordise his move, should it come off!!!! WTF? If his move doesn't come off he should be told to fcuk off and not play for us again. I'd have to start with Mowatt too - maybe at the expense of Austin? Still, I don't think we're a million miles off - if we gel, and we have the option of the wingers having Smith to aim for now and then, we might just steady the ship. McD did try reminding us that him (and the board) saw this season as a building and steadying season before our 'push' (with his team) next season. Keep the faith!
