In our pre match discussions yesterday about the (possible) new owner the question of the Hull bloke changing the name to Hull Tigers and then Tan at Cardiff changing the kit from blue to red was discussed That led us on to what is now part of Leeds folklore and part of the Revie legend when he changed the colour of the kit to look like Real Madrid the then best side in the world
We now talk of it proudly etc and make out as if it were a master stroke - however none of my mates were old enough to remember him doing it and we wondered what the fans thought of it at the time ? Were there mass demonstrations and arguments against it with angry fans refusing to accept the new kit or was it met with apathy, in that it does not matter especially in the days pre replica kits being worn by all and sundry , or even approval as regards the message it was trying to send?
