As we're on the theme of ramshackle disorganised clubs stumbling from one mess to another, it feels a good moment to raise the spectre of the list favourite Leeds Lards. I'm not quite sure who our manager is at the moment (it often seems to be determined by who has got the kit to wash - perhaps a tip to Brian there), but the Boys in Blue and Yellow will be making their annual pilgrimage for a 5-6 a side stumble around / tournament in Amsterdam on 17 May. Any Lards from days of yore who fancy one last glorious appearance, or indeed any new Lards (or Sons/Daughters of Lards?), are very welcome. It's usually a very pleasant long weekend of drinking, Dutch snacks, drinking and capery with a smattering of football thrown in, but not excessively so. Yet to lure Master Boocock across from his Scottish Lair or His Goodairness for this festival of fun, but we live in hope... Cheers, David ---------------------------------------------------------- Apologies Mr W, but I have a prior engagement (and the opportunity to win £1,500) at an FA Cup Final "party" on May 17th. Do rest assured, that however smashed you lot get in Amsterdam, you will not be as smashed as me on that particular day!! Rogerre PS: Which leg are you planning on smashing up at the veterans tournament this year?!
