Well, it won't take long to find out if he is lying if he really did say he
was going to buy ER back on Thursday.

Personally I am prepared to give him a chance. It sounds to me like he is
an aggressive businessman who takes no shit (who does this remind us of?).
If someone is getting in the way, especially officialdom, I reckon he takes
quite a few risks, and some of them come back to bite him (hence fraud,
embezzlement, etc etc). I am desperately clinging on to the hope that he
can actually be (or become) a Leeds United fan, and hence not spend his
time and talents ripping the club off (like the last aggressive businessman
we had in charge).

Most (dare I say all?) of these fellas who own clubs do have some good
skills, the issue often becomes how they use them (their objectives become
"fuzzy"). Our new Boss is very clearly a successful businessman in his own
right (unlike quite a few of the previous incumbants). I get get the
feeling from the little we know of this guy that he is a passionate
football fan, that demands success. The problem then becomes if he does not
get success immediately, he seems to have a habit if sacking the manager
(again, and again, and again....ad nauseam).

The key question here for me is whether he is prepared to invest in the
team. From what I have heard, he DID invest in Calgiari. Perhaps not
incredibly successfully, but they were always in Serie A, right? Wouldn't
we settle for always being in the top league right now?

I say give this fella a chance, let's see him fulfil some of his promises,
let's see how long BM gets (I fear not long, but let's see). But we all
know BM was really on very sticky ground simply on performances prior to
last week's fiasco. In fact I think last week saved BM from the sack.
Without it, I reckon we could have lost against Town, and another poor
result midweek could have been the end.

Cellino in!
Cheers
Alec
