Just a reminder guys to please complete this survey. Please do all you can to
spread it around the globe.

Professor Chadwick said -
We are trying to undertake this research 'scientifically' and so do not have an
agenda to either support or undermine FIFA.

That said, as you can imagine, the results right now are not looking
particularly positive for them.

Once the survey is closed (which will be at the end of March), we will then
spend April analysing the data using something called Structural Equation
Modelling. This technique relies upon big responses to surveys - so far we have
around 450; if we could get more, it would mean our results would be even more
accurate.

Once we have the results, we are then going to share them with people.

Thereafter, we are planning on running the survey again e.g. with national
associations, possibly UEFA, and may be others too.

It's good to have your support , we'll keep everyone posted on what is
happening.

TRUST AND FIFA

The concept of trust is a major research focus for Coventry Business School.

As part of this research focus, the Business School is undertaking research
examining trust in sport governing bodies.

Currently, we are investigating football fan trust in FIFA.

Given the nature of FIFA as an organisation and its work, we are seeking to
ascertain the views of a global cross-section of people about FIFA.

These views are being gathered using an online survey.

We would be grateful if you could disseminate information about the survey
to your students and other relevant contacts, encouraging them to complete
it.

The survey is available via: http://www.survey.bris.ac.uk/coventry/trustfifa

In return for your help, we will be willing to share the headline findings
of our research with you.
If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact
me.
Professor Simon Chadwick, Director, Centre for the International Business of
Sport, Coventry University Business School, UK.
