Yes I remember it well but I can't believe that there are still folk who blame the FL for this when it was 100% down to Bates. Bates took the second points hit in exchange for starting the season a division higher and he prevented any appeal of the quantum because he wanted to use the fans as a blackmail weapon against the FL. Some folk are still falling for it, it seems. The current approval problems are far more likely to be related to GFH rather than just to Cellino. I'd like to hear an explanation of how GFH had the budgets and forecasts approved at Christmas and yet by the end of January the club was apparently falling off a financial cliff. Perhaps it has been revealed that the FL were provided with duff info and there is a price to pay for that now. (How could it be anything else but duff info ?) The FL could be attempting to sanction GFH rather than the club going forward (which is what fans organisations lobbied for) and maybe GFH are not playing ball.
