So we all know that if this team were a horse it would have had a bolt through
its skull by now.

Saturday was a shambles. A gutless, clueless, disorganised shambles. A
Doncaster team that are low on confidence and skill came and were given the run
of ER for 45 minutes. Yes, we had poor refereeing decisions and some bad luck,
but we also had players not capable of passing to teammates, people not
tracking back and basically just saying to the visitors - go on, give it a go,
you never know…we’re not going to bust a gut stopping you.

2-0 down at half time - Austin and Murphy swapped for White and Tonge. And do
you know it very nearly worked…Austin and Murphy were no better or worse than
anyone else out there…and so we end up in a position where Aidy White - yes
that same never-quite fulfilling his potential Aidy White who has teased us for
about 8 years. And the truth is, he wasn’t that good yesterday…but he ran fast
and direct at their defence and that was all it took. Most of the time he lost
the ball or played in a dreadful cross…but still it had them on the back foot.
As for Tonge, for about 25 minutes it looked as if he was single-handedly going
to rescue something for us from this…

For the last 45 minutes yesterday our left side was Aidy White and Danny Pugh…I
mean really…come on…both those guys have had plenty of chances to do something
at Leeds…sometimes you want to weep.

Matt Smith won loads of stuff in the air…and he set up Ross’s latest goal in
what will prove to be his lap of honour in a Leeds shirt…but the same Matt
Smith missed a couple of really good headed opportunities on goal…one dead
centre and unchallenged and he missed the target.

As for the demo…well none of us knew what it was about and we could barely hear
it anyway.

and that’s about all I care to remember…yours, disgusted and drained of all
hope, of the North Stand.
