My Roma supporting stepdaughter now living in Rome rates this guy very highly.
She thought he was being groomed to replace DeRossi as Roma's sometimes captain:

Leeds United sports director Nicola Salerno says the club have a good chance of
landing Roma midfielder Federico Viviani.

Leeds have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old who impressed in the
second half of the season whilst on loan with Italian Serie B side Latina.

Speaking in La Bottega del Calciofilo, Salerno said, "We have good chances to
take Viviani, but the deal isn`t done yet".

The agent of Viviani, Giampiero Pocetta, has also admitted that the midfielder
could be interested in a move to Elland Road. "Leeds would is a very
prestigious club for Federico,"Pocetta told La Bottega del Calciofilo.

Viviani has spent much of the last two seasons out on loan having spells at
Serie B sides Padova, Pescara and Latina. Last season he made 21 appearances
for Latina following his arrival in January, helping the side finish third.

The defensive midfielder has also represented Italy at three-levels up to
under-21 and he was part of the training squad for the full national side
picked by the then international boss Cesare Prandelli in March.
