It would appear that the Liam Cooper from Chesterfield deal is back on and that
Bellusci is in Leeds as we speak - given that both these deals have collapsed
in the past, there must be a decent chance that this time they will happen,
especially Bellusci who turned down our offer, if he is here now either he has
lowered his demands or we have increased our offer or some sort of compromise
re wages etc but one that is already agreed.
Know v little about either but Bellusci does have some pedigree, and there is
an element of they 'can't be any worse' than what we have and have had recently
!

Looking forward to tonight - hope he give Benedicic . Dawson and Taylor a run
out - be good to see Berardi get 90mins too, and for Doukara and Ajose to start
as well. It is both a no win and no lose game. Lose and it is a case of so what
but on the other hand if we win it is a case of 'only Accrington' - so to me
the pressure is off as much as it can be in a competitive game

Will probably be full of kids with the children for a £1 promotion that the
League Cup organisers have insisted upon. Whilst it may be annoying to be sat
with loads of kids it has got to be good for the future of LUFC and the game in
general - teams not in the Prem need to get youngsters supporting them as
opposed to a Prem team and in the habit of going to games not watching on Sky

All been quiet on Poleon front (have read one 'guess' that he may be off to
Chesterfield as part of Cooper deal) - we have allegedly turned down £5m for
Sam but will accept £8m. Smith is in talks over a new contract -hope we offer
him what he wants (within reason) and do no offer him some (in footballing
terms) a derisory amount that means he leaves now for a small fee or goes at
the end of the season for nothing

Anyway the pubs in Leeds are calling for a pre match pint

Bye

dave
