We were talking about that on the way to the game and we decided that Mrs Redders would have something to say about this. As it stands he is making a decent living and has some (albeit maybe not a lot - see Gibbs, Naylor etc) job security - if he stays on the right side of Cellino he will be ok for the foreseeable future as youth coach. If he takes the first team job he will be given a one year contract (? 18months tops) which he will be paid for whether he lasts that length of time or only a few weeks - at the end of that time though he is unemployed and will be fighting a lot of other people to get a youth team job somewhere and may never work in football again ? Big gamble for him and his family?
As is said on the FL show the job is a decent one for any other coach / manager looking for a job - there are only 92 clubs who need a manager and we are one of the biggest. So come to us and if you get sacked after a month everyone will blame it on Cellino - you still get the full years pay and do not lose any credibility. IF you succeed as Leroy Rosenoir said you become a legend at one of the biggest clubs in the country and your fame is ensured >From memory it was Gibbs who was in charge for the Hudds 5 1 game last season >after McD was sacked and Redders last couple of spells in charge were mixed in >terms of results and perfomances. He did sound enthusiastic on FL show and >referred to the young players as his lads. A team with Byram, Charlie Taylor, Mowatt, Cook and maybe Dawson would give us hope and something to get behind added to the young foreigners - Sloth, Adryan, Benidicic etc plus Cooper. dave ________________________________ From: Richard Walker <[email protected]> To: Verner Hanna (Jnr) <[email protected]> Cc: LEEDSLIST <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, 31 August 2014, 13:59 Subject: Re: [LU] Redfern I wonder how much Redders earns now ?
