I like him as a defender...but if he's a racist then he can do one...which funny
enough is what Cellino says this morning...

The Football Association has confirmed it is investigating allegations by the
Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome that he was racially abused by the Leeds
defender Giuseppe Bellusci

.

The alleged word is understood to have been “negro”, although this has yet to be
confirmed. Negro is the term which led to the former Liverpool striker Luis
Suárez receiving an eight-match ban and £40,000 fine after he abused Manchester
United’s Patrice Evra.

Jerome complained to the referee Mark Clattenburg midway through the first half
of the 1-1 draw at Carrow Road on Tuesday, and the match official is to submit a
report to the FA.

The referee halted the game following Jerome’s verbal clash and Clattenburg then
addressed both managers on the touchline.

The Leeds owner, Massimo Cellino, has denied Bellusci – who joined in the summer
from Serie B side Catania – is a racist but said he will sack him if the
allegation is proved correct.

“Bellusci is no racist,” Cellino told the Yorkshire Evening Post. “I spoke with
him and he said ‘you must be joking, I said nothing like this to him’. He is
surprised by this. He is shocked. I don’t allow racists at this club and I won’t
allow racists at this club ever. If one of my players is a racist, I’ll kick his
arse and kick him out before the FA has a chance.

“Bellusci says he spoke [to Jerome] in Italian. I don’t know if he [Jerome]
speaks Italian too but Bellusci swears to me he said nothing racist.”

Jerome said on Twitter he would not publicly reveal what was said to him: “On
what was actually said would not be fair for me to say at this point but it will
be a matter for the governing body to deal with.

“As all will know an allegation has been made by myself to the referee in which
he made note of and will write it in his match report.”
