I had to miss the match due to another family wedding but I have watched the highlights on LUTV, that is not enough to comment on who played well etc but one thing that did stand out was the 'togetherness' of the players Now I know it is easy to be friendly when playing well and winning, especially when the team have just scored but the reaction to all the goals was amazing, the big smiles on players faces and the way they all joined in was great to watch and bodes well for the future. They allowed Cooper to run to the East Stand as he wanted but then with lot of smiling there was a huge 'pile on' with the Soul-man jumping on and off and on again the top. There were smiles galore after the second with Adryan insisting Antenucci joined in and did the 'rock the baby'. The 3rd goal had Antenucci being chased round whilst he pretended to suck a dummy. OK like I say it is easy to be like that when you are winning etc but I also noticed the back slapping and 'well dones' including a big hug from Pearce on Cooper when making good blocks and tackles etc.
Teamwork bonding and the team ethic can make up for quite a few deficiences and can earn quite a few points over the course of a season.
