Cue loads of drivel about Montbastardy & Portertwat.
Ironically, I was out and about on the streets of Hong Kong on Sunday,
still very grumpy following the Ipswich result, when I encountered a little
twat wearing a red tracksuit top with "SAFC: FA Cup Final 1973" written on
it. I stopped him and asked him why he was wearing it. "Because I love this
team." When I told him that I had been at Wembley for that match, he got
all excited for a bit b/c he thought I was saying that I had PLAYED in it.
I told him I still had nightmares about the game, but he didn't speak very
good English (typical Sunderland fan, I suppose) and I don't think he
really knew what I was saying.
