'No' is the simple answer from my perspective. He did OK but no better than
that, he held up the ball a few times and lost it on others. He laid the ball
back to Cook which led to the pen and he had a header well saved although I
thought he should have done better with the chance. He never looked like
scoring and did not bring other players into the game that much. With Smith gone
he is the only forward who can win things in the air and hold the ball up -
this is not Anty or Sharps game. I think the fact that Redders wanted Becchio
back tells you all you need to know. Since that is not happening and the other
suggestions have not yet happened either, Morison is the best of pretty bad
options in that area and so I think it is a bit of 'morale boosting' rather
than a genuine assessment of his performance. Similarly his comments about
Taylor only not getting in before because Warnock was so good. I think, quite
rightly he is trying to build up what must be pretty low confidence amongst the
squad.Morison must look at Paynter and Hunt and their equally abysmal scoring
records at Leeds which they never got over and his confidence must be rock
bottom so no complaints about what Redders is saying (cancel that IF it turns
out he believes it!)

Subject: [LU] Was Bolton performance that good?
Redfearn seems to think so. Not sure that is what I garnered from the match
reports on the list.....
Bit worried about Redfearn me.
