Surprised no-one on here has either been promoting or criticising the plan to get supporters to pay £100 for a stake in LUFC as part of the attempt to buy out GFH and their 25% I just feel that the whole thing is a bit pie in the sky - fans refuse, on occasion, to pay an extra £5 for a higher category ticket and refuse to buy season tickets due to the cost. So why will these people pay £100 for nothing tangible ? Whilst the 20yr ST is my best buy ever - £3300 for a season ticket for 20 years- there were only 186 of us savvy / mug enough (delete as appropriate) to actually buy them. Even though the plan behind it was to raise £6m (iirc) to keep the club alive. Now I know fans were worried about it being honoured etc - but the view was that it was 'too good to be true' - yet these same fans are being asked to stump up £100 or more for no actual reward (Yes I get that £3.5k 10 years ago is not the same as £100 today) but looking at waccoe a few people have pledged upwards of £500 with one willing to go up to £1500 ! Also I have never understood this obsession with getting a fan on the board - I really do not see how any one fan can represent the whole gamut of fans Dave _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected]
