Fulham as seen through CiderGoogles.
Can't remember a more one-sided match, We had 8 shots, 5 on target and scored with 3 of them, they had 30, and 7 on target, scored one that was offside, and hit the woodwork 3 times and Silvestri made a string of brilliant saves and was the man of the match. The only area we bested them was the fans, theirs are quiet and non-existent ours were brilliant - although I think the baiting of McCormack was over the top, especially when he went off injured, that was a lack of class, whatever happened he scored loads for us and was sold for 3 times more than he was worth. Fulham got at us from the start and were pretty good until the last third Smith and McCormack showed why we got rid, by missing a hatful of chances. We had no width in midfield and generally seemed to be happy to let Fulham control the game. In fact they played like they had 12 men on the pitch, even when they had one sent off, we were that poor, Ruiz was their best player by a mile. Of the outfield players Byram was probably the best but was completely knackered by 75th minute. Another clean sheet for Bamba and Belusci, but Bamba in particular made a few howlers that Fulham couldn't capitalise on. Leeds fans sang all night and I went to sleep with the lilting refrain of OH LEEDS ARE WE banging around my brain and woke up with the same. I can't remember that last time I saw us win by 3! Who cares that we were crap and Fulham should have won 7-3, a good night out! ttfn Richard _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] John 'Grampa' Sykes Rest In Peace old lad 28th Oct 1938 - 12 Nov 2013 MARCHING ON TOGETHER
