All fellow participants of the 8th European Football Fans’ Congress (#EFFC2015)
in Belfast,
as it is just a couple of days to go before we see each other (again) in
Belfast, here is your final info! We’re expecting more than 250 registered
participants from 30 countries to make their trip to Northern Ireland! Thanks a
lot for your commitment!
Via this link you can find the EFFC 2015 Press Release. Please spread it via
all your channels of communication, such as websites, fans forums, social media
etc! During the congress, our media team will do live blogging of all workshops
and discussions at #EFFC2015 – you can access the #EFFC2015 Live Blog via this
link . Follow us on Twitter @FansEurope and please use the hashtag #EFFC2015 on
Twitter and Facebook and spread the word about the live blogging among your
friends and other potentially interested people as well.
Furthermore, ready for download and for printing, you can find a little EFFC
POCKET GUIDE with all directions and essential info for your trip to Belfast
via this link (in English). Hard copy versions of this guide book will be
available at the venues in ENGLISH, TURKISH (TÜRKCE), French (EN FRANCAIS),
Spanish (EN ESPAGNOL) and Russian (русский). The main language of the EFFC 2015
will be English, as usual, though we will have some people helping out with
whispering translations if necessary.
#EFFC2015 HOTLINE: In case of any emergency or urgent questions, somebody from
the FSE-Office can be reached via the mobile number +49 152 52033257 – the
number will be active from 30 JULY 2015.
Other things that will be important for you to know:
DressCode
Just like every year, there will be NO DRESS CODE at the EFFC and its framework
programme!
PLEASE wear whatever makes you feel comfortable – we don’t care whether you’ll
show up in your football shirt or in leopard shorts and sandals!
Live Football on Thursday 2nd JULY
Yes, you read this right: All of us will be going to a football game on the
opening day.
Since the UEFA Europa League draw last Monday, we now know for sure that on the
opening day GLENTORAN FC from Belfast will take on MSK Zilnia in a first round
Europa League qualification cup game at The Oval (Parkgate Drive, Belfast BT4
1EW). So we decided to prostpone the "official" opening at Stranmillis to
22.00hrs to give everybody the opportunity to watch the game in the stadium,
which will be fun with all the other participants.
SHUTTLE FOR THE PEOPLE ARRIVING FROM THE PRE-EVENT AT DUBLIN:
One of the busses from dublin will leave Dalymount Park at 16.15, allowing
people who want to check in at their hotel (quickly!) to do so before the game.
It will stop at the Holiday Inn (also next to most of the other hotels) and
Stranmillis College. It will then at 19.00hrs leave for the game and taking us
back to Stranmillis after the game. The other bus will go at 16.45 straight to
the game and back afterwards.
SHUTTLE FOR THE PEOPLE ARRIVING IN BELFAST:
Shuttle busses will be provided to the game and back as well, leaving 19.00 at
Stranmillis.
TICKETS
More infos on tickets will be available on Thursday in Dublin and in front of
the ground in Belfast!
Entry to Stranmillis
As there is a (guarded) security gate at the entrance to Stranmillis University
College (Stranmillis Rd, Belfast BT9 5DY) premises, please make sure that you
indicate being a participant of the European Football Fans Congress everytime
you need to get on site. We will provide signage from the entrance of
Stranmillis College to the Refectory Building for all people coming on foot. If
you come by cab, tell the guard the same and that he should direct the cab
driver to the Refectory Building.
By the way: The best way to go to Stranmillis by bus is to take the bus 8A
(final destination: Erinvale Avenue -via Stanmillis) It will cost you 2 pounds
(single ticket). The bus stop where you will need to get out is called:
Stranmillis College (Stranmillis Road)
Food
For the ones, who will be staying at Stranmillis, there will be breakfast
provided in the Cafeteria from 8.30hrs - 10.00hrs each day (Friday - Sunday).
You will be provided with free lunch on Thursday in Dalymount Park / Dublin,
Friday in Seaview and Saturday and
Sunday in Stranmillis. But please note that FSE won’t be able to pay for dinner
each day for all #EFFC participants this year. But FSE members can buy
vouchers for food at the EFFC Info Desk for 5 Pound per dinner, they only need
to show their FSE membership card.
Information for Members
Please read the attached EFFC Guide Book in good time before the event, as it
also contains important information on voting and election procedures. Info
packs for the Annual General Meeting of the European Football Fans’ network are
available for collection from Saturday morning on at the FSE info stall at
Stranmillis.
If you are coming to represent a locally or nationally/transnationally active
member of FSE and if you want to vote at the Annual General Meeting on behalf
of this member, please make sure you are registered with FSE as either the main
contact or the substitute for this fans’ group. If you are NOT registered with
FSE for this member, the main contact of your fans’ group/organization needs to
get in touch with us to confirm that you are entitled to represent this member
at the AGM of FSE. If you are not registered with FSE in advance as a
representative of this fans group / fans’ organization, then you are NOT
entitled to vote on behalf of your group!
To collect your voting cards on Sunday morning, please make sure that you bring
YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD as well as a PIECE OF ID – like a passport, driving
license or ID Card that can prove your identity. OTHERWISE WE WON’T BE ABLE TO
HAND OUT YOUR VOTING CARD!
All info for the Annual General Meeting was already circulated amongst all
members and is available for download - find them once again via the following
link in English: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING DOCUMENTS FOR FSE MEMBERS
If you want to stand for elections to the FSE Committee at the AGM 2015, …
…you have to be 18 years of age and had to apply for membership with FSE before

and a respective message announcing your candidacy to [email protected] or
submit this message directly at the FSE info stall at the EFFC in Belfast.

2015.
Alright, that’s it for now, we hope that we could provide you with all the info
you might require and that you’re looking forward to your trip to Belfast and
the EFFC.
See you there!
All the best
Your EFFC Organising Team
