Not sure if I am banned from this list or not, but I'm so excited about yesterday I've decided to give it a go:
The most expensively assembled side in the division were given a complete footballing lesson in the first half. At halftime, I was thinking "It will probably all go rugby ball from now on, but at least that 45 mins was great!" And of course after 50 mins, 3 or 4 -1 were the likely results........but no, we dug in, clawed our way back into the game, and then WHAM! I know he did score a long range goal in a friendly, but still........nothing I had seen from Chris Wood prepared me for that goal! Literally unbelievable! This is getting very close to being the mythical Golden Weekend! - Glorious away win for Leeds - Derby losing at home (obviously) - Liverpool losing pathetically at home to a rubbish team AND having their best player red carded. - Chelsea ditto (sauf the card) - Newcastle losing at home and sitting in the relegation spots - Apparently Leeds RL also won some cup or other (don't give a shit about that stupid game, but we might as well bung it in the list.)
