It seems clear to me that Antenucci is one of the better players, and Rosler needs to find a way to accommodate him in a 4-3-3 somehow, or change the system to accommodate the players at his disposal. I like the pressing game that Rosler seems to favour, and would worry that 4-4-2 would make the team too easy to pick off in midfield.
Perhaps he could try Antennuci on the left of the 3 up front, with a role where he is allowed to wander across between the left wing and inside right positions. Mowatt and Taylor between them could provide width on the left. Have an orthodox winger on the other side, so that Berardi is able to stay back with the C Backs. Cooper would be covering the left if Taylor got caught forward. If need be, the same players could switch to 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 if it wasn't working. It relies on Mowatt getting a bit of form back and Wood/Antenucci understanding that one of them (whoever is closest) has to chase back with the opposition right back. Not sure where that leaves Byram though. ____________________________________________________________ UK Shared Business Services Ltd. Registered in England and Wales as a limited company.
