In fairness I have always reckoned that there is a good player in Doukara just
a matter of getting him to show it. He started last season well and then
totally faded and since then he has shown in glimpses that he does have
something (and have said as much in my reports when he has made his cameo
appearances)In the right set up with his mind right and a manager getting the
best out of him he could be a star - unfortunately there does seem something
lacking in his make-up
I was impressed with Dallas again tonight, he is becoming a good player - nice
to see him score (I thought it had hit the side netting at first) and his one
that hit the post would have been a worldy.
Taylor is a good 8 out of 10 week in week out
Finally spare a thought for Wood - he did well twice for the first goal, got in
a good header that the keeper did well to save and led the line well , however
we cannot afford to miss two sitters like he did tonight, especially when the
crowd are turning against him anyway. For myself I think he will do OK for us
and will end up on 15 or so this season and 20+ next with the right service
Maybe I am over excited by the win, a win I did not see coming and one I
thought we may yet again throw away , and I still cannot see why Wootton keeps
getting picked.
So a great win and decent scores on the doors all round, not forgetting the fat
boy himself with his tactical change - even if the substitution was forced on
him, it would have been so easy to bring on Murphy or Mowatt and that is what I
was expecting so full marks to Evans
Thought the crowd, on both sides bar a 15minute spell from them, was very quiet
on TV but did like our lot singing "sky tv is f-ing shit' when they did the
interviews at the end
