Agree totally Rich (and just to prove I actually read your reports) I assume
you mean Taylor when you refer to Parker a few times ? Mind you Parker was bad
too.
I watched the 'highlights' on Ch5 and they showed every single bit of action -
all 4 of them- bar the definite penalty. The summariser / commentator was
obviously  not at the match as her remarks led you to believe we were battering
them in search of an equaliser.
I saw the match stats on BBC page had us with 2 shots, neither on target. One
was Taylor free kick against the post, the other escapes me unless it was the
Antenucci one shown on TV that the defender tried to score an own goal with
(possible truth in Rich's betting scandal comment ?)
It really was awful and I , too, blame the players.
Dave

Like others I was well up for this game and was thinking a 3-0 win would put us
above Wolves and we would be on the way to the play offs in the Summer. Then we
had 95 minutes of this game which once again reminded all us Leeds fans that we
are a very average team with very average players and really can only expect
inconsistency week in week out. When I think back to the Rotherham game which
really was a game when I thought enough is enough with regards to shelling out
£30 every other week to watch I can't say anything as moved on since then. Yes
there was commitment today but similar to Rotherham I thought we were outplayed
and outfought and today we really deserved nothing and MK Dons have been
robbed.

I think in this league a bit of pace up front and on the wings is terrifying.
MK Dons had 3 players who in a straight 100 metres sprint would have murdered
all of our back 4 and it showed. Everytime they got the ball they looked
dangerous and we looked very vulnerable. In fact, I think we looked more
vulnerable and shaky today than I've seen and I would question whether some of
those back 4 looked after themselves as they should have done over Christmas /
New Year. Bamba and Cooper were particularly poor. Actually that's been fat too
nice, they were both f'cking shit and deserve dropping.

The tone for the game was set when we kicked off and passed it back to Sol
Bamba. It controlled it nicely, looked up and played a lovely 5 yard pass to a
red shirt. Just a blip we thought, but then he did it again 5 mins later and
then again and suddenly he seemed to be our main outlet. It was truly
unbelievable. Sol Bamba has been in the piss over the New Year. I know he's had
some off days but none like this, he looked fat, slow and careless .....
Hungover.

He was not the only one, we seemed incapable of simple 5 yard passes all over
the pitch. When we did string a few passes together it was predictable and
pedestrian. Cook to Bridcutt, Bridcutt to Dallas, Dallas back to Taylor, Taylor
inside to Cooper, Cooper to Bamba , Bamba 5 yard pass to a red shirt ...
Repeat.

And when MK Dons got it they terrified us because they weren't afraid to run
with the ball and the best we could do was hack them down. From my seat it
looked like they should have had 2 blatant penalties. Parker and Cooper just
couldn't handle their right winger and when Parker hacked him down in the box
it was a definite pen. I think Parker has done well but for me on the back foot
he is suspect.

Compare this to the few breaks we had in the first half where Lewis Cook was
charging forward. He didn't have the confidence or the know how to go it alone
or pick out an intelligent pass.

It was no surprise when they took the lead with a brilliant goal. Again they
broke down our left and their winger picked out another red shirt in the box
who drilled it into the bottom left hand corner. A great goal and full
deserved. I should point out that both Cooper and Bamba were stood either side
of the scorer.

Many will point to the team selection and tactics for the defeat. I think they
contributed because as good as Doukara has been as a second half sub coming on
to play as a deeper striker he showed all his weaknesses trying to play as a
lone striker in a 5-4-1. Little pace, automatically drifts to the wings and no
killer instinct in the box. Having said that, the support was totally lacking.
Dallas had his worst game in a Leeds shirt - another one I would question with
regards to his holiday diet and Sam Byram did nothing to convince me he is a
right winger. Can we give up on that one now please.
Surely we have to be more adventurous against teams at home , 5-4-1 has never
really worked at Elland Road.

Fair play to Evans who changed things immediately at half time to move to 4-4-2
by bringing on Antenucci for the hapless Murphy. How many times will I have to
type those words 'hapless Murphy'. Surely Crewe would have him back for £50k
which I would consider a bargain for us. Evans then realised that Doukara today
was a fail and dragged him off for Lee Urwin.

The formation change didn't really improve things for us which is why I think
Evans could have played a diamond, sweeper, counter attacking or any formation
today and it wouldn't have made the slightest difference because when your
players can't do the basics you're goosed.

Antenucci did give us a bit more up front but on the flip side Lee Urwin
contributed absolutely nothing. Again you could point to the service but he
looked like a non- league striker to me.

Second half we had a lot of possession but created nothing. The best we could
muster was a decent free kick from Taylor which hit the post. MK Dons on the
other hand threatened us every time they attacked and nearly put the game
beyond us as they broke through with pace for a one on one. Sylvestre saved us
with a top class save to push it around the post for a corner. Great save.

I said to my mate at 85 mins that we wouldn't score in this game if we kept
playing all night. We had nothing to offer. And so it was, MK Dons through 2
points away by heading a cross into their own net. One of the weirdest own
goals I've seen and I reckon the betting shops need to check any weird bets on
a draw.

With 5 minutes of extra time the crowd anticipated a win but the extra time
fizzled out as same as the previous 90.

I don't need to tell anyone that the mood at full time was of total
frustration. Bridcutt clapped all 4 sides of the ground as if he was going (
Evans says otherwise post match). Everyone else just left dejected. This was
unbelievably poor and whilst you just get used to being kicked in the teeth by
LUFC this was hard for take ... And we didn't even lose.

Scores:

Silvestre - 8 . Our best player, sorry only player. His save second half save
earned us a point.

Wooton - 5. I liked someone else's comment on the list who said yes he had a
lot of the ball but only because they didn't mark him because they knew he was
shit ( or words that implied this). He wasn't our worst defender but it is
frustrating to see him on the ball in an advanced position because you know
he's going to throw in a crap cross.

Taylor - 6. I thought he really struggled on the back foot against a bit of
pace which wouldn't be the first time. His best contributions for me were in
the second half when he was pushed into midfield. Decent free kick second half
which hit the post. He is one of our most consistent performers but I didn't
think he looked fit today.

Cooper - 2. I thought this was his worst game for Leeds. All over the shop.
Tried to come forward at times but to no affect. Also, the way he dummies a
thrown in was brilliant. He actually just let it go through his legs. Another
one who looked pissed.

Bamba - 0. Awful, terrible, miserable. From the first minute to the last he
looked off the pace. Also should have been sent off. No pace. Definitely pissed.

Cook - 4. I'm this lads biggest fan but I am beginning to question his ability.
Also I'm beginning to question whether he has a brain. He constantly gets into
good positions but fails to chose the right option and the move breaks down. He
made some good runs today but you knew that nothing would come of them. On one
occassion in the second half he brilliantly charged down their attack and was
off on a counter. If he'd gone alone it would have been a one on one ( which he
would have missed) instead he looked for a pass but only succeeded in toe
poking it to a red shirt. Wasted. I think he's beginning to doubt himself.

Byram - 3. Very disappointing for me. One or two bits and bobs in the first
half but apart from thT he looked off the pace ( pissed ?). If any premier
league scout was watching this game there's no way he will be going anywhere.
Not a right winger but what is he ?

Bridcutt - 7. Our best outfield player but today he did look limited which was
probably due to the shite around him. Hope he stays.

Murphy - 2 hapless. He ran around, usually after lost causes but on the ball he
can't do anything. He's fucking rubbish. How many chances does the lad want ?
Evans dragged him off at half- time.

Dallas- 1. Bloody awful.

Doukara - 1. Bloody awful.

Subs

Erwin - 0 did nothing

Antenucci - 6. Troubled them without looking dangerous.

Coyle - 6. Looked tidy.

Evans - got it wrong today but his players let him down. He'll be sacked if we
play like this again. Saved by the one goal. We deserved nothing.

Happy new year - FFS.
