September 97 was when I first subscribed to the digest - I'd just left Leeds to
work in Larndarn (still here ...) and it was really useful in keeping me touch
with what was happening at ER.List meets still going - there's one before the
Brentford game tonight. Cheers, Al

I've just realised that I've been on the list for 20 years now. I started a
job in January 1996 that provided me with internet access and as soon as my
new boss left me on my own I typed in "Leeds United".  If the list wasn't
the top of the search results it wasn't far off.......

Then 2 days lurking whilst I read and digested the embryonic list guide
before the first "respectful" and "considered" Wilko Out! posting :)

A lot of shit has been posted over the years and to be perfectly honest,
the list has always been more entertaining for it. With the exception of
the match reports, these uber-LLPC days are quite boring. Bring back the
600+ postings days I say though the team probably has to get an awful lot
better for that.

Twas fun back in those days - quite how much time I spent ranting I've no idea,
but I just put it down to familiarising myself with the internet. Doom 2 become
something of a specialism too as I recall :-)
End result has been knowing there's a group of people who you can have a drink
with and there have been some very special days - the MOALM was a legendary
get-together, the like of which will never be repeated. Seeing 2 full train
carriages singing "Voice of Football, he's a w*nker, he's a w*nker" will live
with me forever, regardless of how very drunk I was :-)
I even heard from your old man again a couple of weeks back too :-)
All t'best
Da RevChurch of the Real Man/Yorkshire Man :-)
