Mark, You certainly wouldn't have enjoyed watching the Don's team in the mid/late 60s then. "One nil to the Leeds" was invented a long time before "one nil to the Arsenal":-)
It tends to put a different slant on things when you're challenging for trophies though! Da Rev: MOALM - one of the best weekends I've ever had, spoilt by a game of football:-) Cheers - Rog Roger M Goodair Head of IT Support and Telecoms IT Services +44 (0) 1274 235332 www.bradford.ac.uk ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Message: 1 Date: Mon, 25 Jan 2016 14:39:20 +0000 From: Mark <[email protected]> To: Richard Naef <[email protected]>, leeds list <[email protected]> Subject: [LU] Pathetic football Message-ID: <blupr18mb0243e269dd80e9db9e8c7e4ed5...@blupr18mb0243.namprd18.prod.outlook.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Far too many managers in football are more focused on preventing the opposition from winning rather than figuring out how their own team can win. It takes far less coaching and managing ability to do this. Currently Mr. Evans is falling into this limited category. No wonder the starting team is filled with "track-backers", hard working grafters and players with limited skill and almost no ability to create goal scoring chances. Hence players like Botoka sit rotting in the reserves.
