Joined about the same time, probably before, as I think you recruited me from

James Brown was wearing a shell suit, non ironically in Troyes!

You fell down 2 sets of stairs in Paris, Matt. Discovered I hate pastis.

Must have joined in 97, maybe 98. I went out to Barcelona for that game,
started out at midday meeting for a beer or two but ended up going for the
rest of the day and the game. Did Troyes as well with Joe Skinner, managed
to get drunk in Paris on the way and miss anyone we new. Remember James
Brown (loaded mag) there and Duberry getting a load of abuse!

Used to meet up for week night games with Jabba, Joe and assorted others in
Extra Time or Red Cow near Barbican.

I think I joined around 1995/6 - I was at university in Sunderland. What a
shithole that place was and probably still is. I ended up working back up
there after a year back in Leeds and was introduced to most of you by Alan
Dellow who used to give me a lift down for some of the matches. Fond
memories of list meets in The Britannia and the away trips to Barcelona and
Madrid. I think I almost fell off the back row of the Nou Camp and was so
pissed up by kick off I don't remember the game at all. Almost as bad a view
as you get at Newcastle in the away end these days. Also remember a trip to
The Riverside with a list meet in Darlington pre-game. After the game, a
single Boro fan took on about 10 of us asking where our firm was and to come
back tomorrow for a fight. Games were fun then, I've stopped going now as my
mates can't even be arsed to go for a drink before/after.
What's the point?
