I agree that last night was not the worst we've seen over the years, but I don't think I've ever seen a set of players so devoid of belief.
Now I'm not one for believing in curses, superstitions or the like, but I'd love to know what makes a previously decent player so shit as soon as he puts on a Leeds shirt. Some like Bamba take almost a year to be affected, he looked quite good this time last year. Others such as Dallas and Wood seem to become shit very quickly. Or perhaps they always were? Bridcutt won't hang around too long if he has any sense, and if I were Coyle, Mowatt or Cook, I'd want to move to another club quickly before the rot sets in. Cook IMO had a decent game last night, but surely he is a ball-carrying midfielder with a good engine, not a 'number 10'. Not sure how you fit him, Bridcutt and Diaraguaga (sp?) into the same team though. As for Evans, I really think any manager would struggle to make anything out of this current squad. Although, apart from Bridcutt I don't see his signings being any improvement on what was there already. Perhaps the only thing for it is to sack everyone, players, management, ownership , directors and import a whole new club from somewhere. There must be a thriving non-league team local to Leeds, who could be bought up and turned into Leeds United. They would probably get relegated at first, but at least you would be bringing new players into an environment which is not bogged down by the dark shadow consuming the club at the moment.
