My gut feel is that the fans group consortium didn't have enough cash, hence the ongoing search for more backers at the time. I have absolutely no idea how much money Cellino has got either, but given he's deferred any decision to sell and even if he is persuaded to sell, I'm of the view any fans bid would be so suspicious of every hidden debt that they couldn't pull it off. I certainly wouldn't put a penny into it, because it is a bottomless pit of debt and I wonder if complete bankruptcy is the only thing that will enable the slate to be wiped clean?
