Subject: Re: [LU] Goals change games

All perfectly true Rob, one of the reasons Footy is the beautiful game.
But ....

What both performances tell us though is, we're woeful. We were unlucky
against Brighton, we were lucky against Cardiff. Yes. But we're woeful.
We've no pace, we don't over power teams, we're incredibly shaky at the back
and are playing average Championship level football. We're going nowhere
fast and we've no real structure to our game. We've not got a Ricky Lambert
style front man who, at Championship level, will get us 30 goals and scare
the sh*t out of defenders.

What we do have, and what we desperately HAVE to try and hang on to this
Summer is 4 or 5 promising young lads who, with the right guidance and the
addition of some Wilkinson'esque signings (Ones that are brought in to do
THE job of getting out of the Championship) We need a couple of old heads,
one at the back, one up front and a keeper who will OWN his defence. The
aforementioned Lambert would 'do a job' for us I think if he was available
cheaply, maybe a central defender like Craig Gardner? and a flying
midfielder/forward who might not be the greatest footballer but will scare
the shit out of defences with pace ... No idea who that may be? And maybe
Tim Howard type goalie?

Anyway ... back to lurkdom! :)
