"Ha! Not quite, such a sense of relief and just so pleased for our chairman who is a painfully decent chap and has basically ploughed a million quid a month into the club to keep it running for the past 7 years. Not bad at all..." I didn't know much about this chairman, so I asked a bit more... "Any chairman who grew up in the rough end of town, became the town's youngest ever Labour councillor and then went on to be a completely self-made multi-millionaire, before saving the club from going out of existence (when Look North had announced this had happed!) and then running it for the benefit of the club and the town is alright by me. I think he's the only one in existence mind... I feel incredibly lucky to have him in this role. He's a wonderful oddity, indeed..."
