When we realised that Coyle had not come out for extra time (nice touch by
Ayling giving him a piggy back to take part in celebrations) and that we were
down to ten men, I mentioned to my mate and those around me that the FA cup was
going to allow 4 subs in extra time, no-one knew anything about itI even asked
a few on the bus and then my train 'mates' and even my father in law, but
no-one seemed aware of it
It got so I wondered if it was one of those suggestions that had been put
forward and discarded but, with certain rules etc they are bringing it in

On another point I wonder why we bother with extra time and don't just go
straight to pens. It can be unfair on fans trying to get home to have to stay
an extra 30 or so minutes, and even more importantly not fair on the players.
All their training is aimed at them lasting 90 not 120 minutes, and a midfield
player especailly should be shatterd at the end of the 90 if he is doing his
job right
