(From the rattan chair) We certainly are dramatically more secure at the back this season. I never really had that sinking feeling in my bowels that I used to get whenever the oppoes got the ball into the final third. I wasn't even too fussed about defending corners.
And considering our "engine room" was manned by two boys....... Couple of slightly random observations,though....... 1) I'm afraid I am a bit worried about Jansson. No question at all that he is a massive factor in the improvement, but...........a) he's got an absolutely horrible haircut (and that is saying something for a footballer these days!), and, perhaps more importantly, b) I fear he is in danger of believing his own hype and becoming a bit arrogant and complacent. 2) Sacko! What are we to make of him? He may scare the shit out of the oppoes (and he certainly made that Villa LB look shit), but he is woeful in possession so often.
