Well that was an odd game and I doubt if a team has ever won with so little possession BUT we did and we deserved it as they took tika taki football to its extremeHow we laughed and 'ole'd' as they passed it around the back 4 time and time again despite the fact that they were one down and the clock was ticking. We just soaked it up almost with ease and never gave them a sight at goal (one shot from the edge of the box that Green tipped over being very much the exception) When we did get the ball we either gave it them back for more passing or we hit them on the break - this led to the two goals - first Sacko broke through two men and steamed into the box and pulled a lovely ball back to Wood on the edge of the 6 yd box, then in the latter stages Taylor did the same and was pulled down (a bit soft to be honest) and Doukara slammed home the penalty. So we won and plaudits all round - Monk getting some for starting with 5 in midfield with Dallas coming back and then when Wood went off bringing on Bridcutt and moving Doukara up top A great result and if we can follow it up with 3 pts on Saturday it will have been a good week despite Brighton The mood of the fans is reallly lifted and my night ended with me and my lad singing the Pontus Wham song accross Piccadilly station approach to each other as we separated to go home !
