Exactly - just what do people expect ? We are not the Revie team that beat
Southampton 7 0, or the Barcelona of 3 years ago etc , we are a SECOND division
team with SECOND division players, and they are that for a reason,If Wood had
pace, IF Sacko had an end product etc etc they would NOT be here - they would
be at ManCity or Chelsea etc
As I said to my mates yesterday we need to look at these players by looking at
what they do well not the bits that are beyond them. Wood for all his faults
has got 20 goals in the league this season with 12 games to go, Sacko scares
defenders with his pace and gives us an outletJansson & Ayling get Leeds and
seem to enjoy being here
and all of them at present are giving it 100% every single match - Beradi puts
his body on the line all the time, Doukara was physically shattered at the end
yesterday, Monk has a plan and they are all buying into it, and we keep going
right to the end to hold onto points or trying to gain them (look at the number
of last minute winners). We do not crumble - look at Brighton away , one down
and a player short, in the past this would have been 4 or 5 nil - not 2 with a
penatly.For the first time in years we are capable of keeping a clean sheet and
defending at corners
Yes, there are big deficiences in the team and in individual players BUT we are
top six and look like staying there, fans are coming back in droves and things
are better than they have been for years and we have a team we can actually be
proud of -so lets just ENJOY IT !!!

PS for me now we have one basic aim, staying in the top six. We then need to
make sure that Bartley and Jansson have served all their suspensions and are
able to play in all 3 (hopefully) play off games, we also need Wood to be fit
and in good form. With those 3 playing at the top of their game we can be a
match for anyone in this Division and promotion can be a real possibility - if
any of those 3 are missing we may struggle

Can’t believe the people who were “down-hearted” after this one. Before the
match, everyone I knew “would have been happy with a point”. We got 3. It was a
local derby, they had clawed a lot of points back against us in recent weeks
until they had drawn level, the weather was bad - high wind and rain - an
almost full Elland Road making a hell of a noise (some of the young’uns with us
hadn’t heard noise like it)…apart from the penalty, they didn’t have a shot on
goal…it was tight, we maybe got lucky…it was a sweet pass from Breradi to
Wood…if you didn’t come out of that punching the air shouting “get in ya
bastard” then you’re dead or a SW fan.
There were difficulties…Pontus really needs to stop fucking about at the
back…Sacko is “fast and to the pointless”…Doukara was much the same but with
less speed…Hernandez was isolated…and I lost count of our bookings…
The good stuff included some inspirational last ditch defending…thank you all
the back four…great save from the penalty by Green…and Wood looking
accomplished for 45 minutes.
Win dirty if you have to, but win...
