Well well well! WTF I believe the yoof of today say! All of a sudden I'm
looking on Newsnow every morning for the latest LUFC updates, I'm
checking my mails to see if anyone knows of any more incoming players
... I'm INTERESTED AGAIN!!!! 10 years of slowly being beaten down by a
succession of failures, bad owners, poor managers, journeymen players.
Last year sparked back up and I was enthused, despite Monk over
achieving with a fairly average team, we at least were competitive
again. Then Monk went and I thought, like others, "Here we go again!".
And now this ... WTF do I make of it all this positivity?!?!? ... Well,
as Richard rightly says, they could all be crap! Put on a bigger stage,
with the "up and at 'em" attitude and pace of the Championship, they
could be a bunch of Carlos Kickaballs with limited talent ... However, I
think so far TC has ticked all the right boxes, there looks to be pace,
there is a goal scoring angle (And Woods is still here) to at least 3 of
the signings, the only missing link for me is a central defender ... Is
there any truth behind these Danny Bathe rumours? And is he any good??
As ever I try and temper any enthusiasm due to decades of it coming back
to bite me ... But it's sort of a bit viral this isn't it? You can't
help but actually feel good? We own ER again, we're in the news FOR THE
RIGHT REASONS! spending £10-£15M on half a dozen players, if it comes
off, is a canny investment for AR if we get promoted (Sale value is
instantly about 3 times what he bought it for, plus he reaps the
benefits from the mad money incoming) and surely it's nudged season
ticket sales up? Mad Mike, I think I might need a session ... I'm
confused by it all! I don't WANT to get excited ... But I can't help
it!!
