Just got in. Fuming again.
First half we did what we’d done well at the start of the season - we pressed
them and forced them into mistakes. It led to our goal, with Lasogga showing
that given opportunities he’ll score.
Second half we seemed to be sitting off more and Derby looked more dangerous..
The equaliser was a horrible sequence of events. You could see it coming -
Roofe had not tracked their number 10 a couple of times but they’d not played
it to him. This time though he gets it in acres of space and crosses in for
their bloke to score, despite us having 3 defenders round him. Noel Whelan was
going mad about it on the radio as I was driving home. He’s right - regardless
of how their number 10 ended up with so much space, it was 3 v 1 in the box.
TC then takes Roofe off (at least 15 mins too late, or for Rich 70 mins too
late) and his replacement Sakho gives away the penalty. It looked a yard
outside the box but it was an incredibly stupid challenge. Having said that it
all stemmed from O’Kane and Viera losing the ball.
Again, more questions than answers.
I though Ayling was poor again,Roofe was a passenger, Alioski worked hard first
half but did very little going forward, Lasogga scored but did very little
else, O’Kane was described by Radio Leeds as excellent - I think he does some
good things but gives away the ball away too easily at times and some of his
decision making, especially overplaying in and around our box, is poor.
Saiz looks good as always but after times doesn’t release the ball quickly
enough, although to be fair if I was him I wouldn’t pass to Roofe either.
I hate football!
