I agree re Cooper he was very good today BUT we all know that ultimately he
will let us down, he is just not good enough. Credit where it is due though, he
made a few great blocks and tackles today
Equally the keeper did well today - he did spill one very soft shot but that
apart he did what little he needed to do - again the problem is, the fans and
defence do not have confidence in him - this leads to panic on occasion -
picking him in front of Green as number one (despite the howler Green made in
his only game for us this season) was a big mistake in my view, and the only
one of our own making - Wood and Taylor both wanted away and nothing would make
them stay, Bartley was not our player and again did not want to stay. The
others who left Bridcutt, Doukara etc are no real loss
We are not far off being a decent team at this level - with Saiz , Alioski and
the admittedly infurianting Hernandez we have some real attacking flair -
somehow we need to get back to not conceeding goals - Felix pointed out in his
end of the game interview that he has kept 8 (?) clean sheets for us, inc 6 in
a row , so we can defend when we get it correct
Villa a big game, after that till the New Year all the teams we play are lower
half of the table so are winnable - even if league position does not count for
much in any game in this Division - no result is really 'surprising#

Surprising lack of comment on Cooper there. He was superb second half. Won
evetything. I am also no fan Weidewald, but he punched well and decisively
second half. For his style of play l, he executed it well.
