For 45 minutes that was very good - we totally controlled the game and were so confident even Liam Cooper made a lovely cushioned back header as we were so comfortableNo changes in personnel or formation other than Dallas was left back and Berardi centre backWe had 4 or 5 chances - all bar one to Roofe- and played some nice one touch football against poor opposition. Ayling showed us what we were missing at the end of last season as FG gave him the freedom of the park and he even scored our second: a lovely ten man move ended with Roofe laying it wide to Ayling who was unmarked and slotted home.Before that Roofe who looked lively but should have had a hat trick, missed a one on one, another easy-ish chance and then scored as a corner fell to him inside the 6 yd box, he controlled and his deflected shot beat the keeper. Forshaw also looked class as we totally dominated with Pablo and Saiz flitting in and out of the game and interchanging. One other thing of note was Alioski who spent the whole half hugging the left touchline in front of Dallas.So as I say on 45 minutes things could hardy be better. However this half last 46 minutes and it that final minute we let Grubb , one of their players, walk through and past Ayling and fire a shot , that was decent enough but perhaps should have been saved, past BPF and so with the last kick of the half and their only attack and shot, they got a goal back - a very poor bit of play that , in a real game, could be enough to undo all the good workOne final point - the commentator alongside Eddie is awful - he does not know any of the players and when he does recognise them he mispronounces their name Sees and Aliosi for starters (then tried when he got these two mixed up to claim they look alike- well they do apart from height, weight , hair colour and style, and the fact that they have different coloured boots, Ali has socks over his knees, Samu doesn't, and Ali has short sleeves with bare arms and Samu a blue fleece over his arms - apart from that they are indeed twins- Oh except Samu has a beard and Ali is clean shaven!) _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected]
