Looking at the team he proposes - does look Ok but I think (if fit) Forshaw or
Klitch get the nod as defensive midfielder over Baker (who may take over from
Saiz if he does not step up his game a bit)
Also as forward wide players he has Alioski and Hernandez - I think Harrison
will get one of these places and Roberts will be close to the other - also I
think Hay has confirmed that Cooper is starting v Stoke (in place of Berardi) -
so for me I think once things settler down it would beBPFCooper Phillips
JansonAyling - Forshaw- DouglasHarrison Saiz RobertsBamford
Not too bad - I think it gives us the best two wing backs in the Division, and
plenty of support for Bamford who I think will be a success
The downsides is that Cooper, unless MB can change things, is generally good
for 88minutes but then makes two massive errors per game. Phillips does look
decent in between the centre backs but his tackling can be reckless and so he
may give away quite a few penalties and free kicks in dangerous areas.
I do think one of the main points will be the patience of the crowd especially
early on - do WE buy into the Bielsa philosophy (?hype) and will WE give him
the time he needs to get his ideas and thoughts through to the players ?
We somehow need to win 5 games that we lost last season to get the 15 extra
points we need to get in the play-offs at a minimum.
I do think if we get behind him and the team that we should get to watch some
exciting and entertaining football this coming season and I am looking forward
to it now - the addition of Bamford and Douglas is giving me optimism
