Seriously have to wonder what you lot want out of this team? First post for the season, but I believe that this team is the best I have seen since the game before Roma in the early 2000's! A significant factor for me to get excited is the new (old) tactic to keep the ball on the ground, pass it around, and seeing the absolutely mesmerising way in which our players are weaving through the oppositions that we have played so far (with the exceptions of 'Boro and Millwall) I concur with Mike Gardiner. This is the best we have seen in eons, and if we beat Preston with the squad we have now (note that I did not say depleted) then we collectively should shut up and leave Mr Bielsa to get on with his magnificent work. I watched the Millwall game (TV) and thought that we could have won it until our players ran out of energy in the last five plus minutes

Cooper with header (or Ayling at far post) should have scored from that chance , Baker and Siaz both had shots from decent distance / angles that they blazed over. Apart from the goal the TV could only find that looping header from Zlatan , sorry Morison, that BPF took under the bar, from Millwall until the couple of scrambles right at the end All the possession / passing stats also favour us but I never put any store in them - I look at what we deserved out of a match mainly based on chances not passes between the centre halves The next two games will show if we are the real deal (I know we keep saying that with Stoke, Derby, Boro, Millwall etc) - we have drawn 3 out of the last 4 but now have 2 games that are easy on paper - 6pts will show we really are a good side and that we have a genuine chance - 4pts will keep us on track mathmatically with 4 pts every 2 games (win at home / draw away -the old adage) 2 or less will show that auto promotion will remain a pipe dream and even the play offs could be too much Just hope the fans who are turning out in numbers (Brum almost a sell out and Preston good for a midweek game) stay behind the team and do not get on the back of players - especially Roberts if he does not take any early chances that come his way Interesting times and hopefully good ones Dave _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/ RIP Jimmy WAC-COE
