In the presser Bielsa has said that Ayling will be in the squad for the game at
Villa and will probably start - with Bamford already back and Cooper in
training it seems as if we have got a great medical team (for once ?) as all
our players are coming back earlier than expected rather than later which seems
to have been the case in the past)
Whether he will be at centre back to add a little bit of height is unclear, or
he may go to his best position at right back and let Shackleton play in
midfield in place of Baker / Saiz ?
Must admit I would take a point now in this game - a victory would be amazing
but another West Brom defeat is also a possibilty - this is what makes this
Division so exciting and intriguing
I do worry that Abrahams will have too much for one of our centre backs be that
Phillips, Ayling or Halme so we will need Pontus at his best to keep him quiet
I do however fancy us to score , Roofe will be fighting like mad for his place
and with Clarke and / or Bamford likely to come on we will create chances - I
do quite like the idea of Roberts being number 10 as per some quotes from him
in the media.
As long as we can match Norwich's result (they are away at Blackburn) we will
be top of the league at Christmas and that has usually led to promotion
Whatever the result we have 2 winnable home games to follow so we should be
well set for top of the pile to see in the New Year
Dave
