You went for the QPR 4 1 defeat, I was thinking last night that in the
promotion season (1988/9) we lost our next to last home game v Barnsley - they
had not won away , we not lost at home so it was supposed to be a foregone
conclusion. Then in title winning year (after 4 1 v QPR) we went to Maine Road
with 6 matches left - they had not scored for ages and supposedly wanted us to
win to stop their neighbours winning the title - we lost 4 0 . I was at both
games and came away thinking 'oh dear that is us done'
Even in Grayson promotion year we lost our last 2 away games (v Charlton and
before that Gillingham)
So whilst last night was a very poor night in terms both of result and second
half performance (letting them score so early gave them everything to fight
for) it is not the be all and end all of the season - beat WBA and things will
look a lot brighter - beat Sheff U later on and things will be even better. Yes
I know these are both big IFs but if we take our chances and have that bit of
luck both are indeed winnable
Whatever these last dozen games, or whatever it is, bring, I have had a great
time this season, it is the one where we got our club back in many ways - sell
out crowds and an owner we quite like (certainly do not hate as per Bates,GFH,
Cellino - all of whom had demonstrations and boycotts against them)
Keep the faith (the Prem is awful anyway !!)
Get behind the lads on Friday and it is still possible-
Dave

Does feel like the moment it fell apart and we booked a play off final v derby

But.... I remember losing 4-1 to QPR once before in a title race!!
