Surprised noone has mentioned Douglas playing with one leg for about 25
minutes. Unbelievable effort.

Moved from the Scabby Taps to the West Riding only to find the pub completely
surrounded by police vans and police. For one moment I thought Millwall had
taken it over but that was a stupid thought as I saw some regulars in the
window. Turns out the police were preventing the Leeds fan leaving on masse as
they were preparing to get the Millwall fans off the train and on to the buses.
We didn't want to get locked in so we walked back towards the station just in
time to see about 100 Millwall fans walking down from the station with police
everywhere. However, they let them walk pretty freely across towards the Black
Prince and that caused a bit of upset and it looked like we could be in for
some fun and games as a couple of Millwall lads at the front were getting a bit
liary. Apart from them though I was surprised how young some of the Millwall
lads were and to be honest I think the police surrounding the West Riding was a
good tactic especailly for those young Millwall lads giving it the big one.
Anyway, on to the game, Bloody brilliant. Atmosphere second half was brilliant
and it convinced me today that nothing can stop us.
Millwall were tricky and In the first 20 mins they were the better side. Their
main outlet was the right wing where Allioski showed that despite being one of
the best players this year he isn’t a great defender and not a great left back.
Their no 8 (little guy) was the best player on the park ( apart from Hernandez)
and he caused all sorts of problems including a great unmarked header for their
first (he's only 4ft 2). It looked like the ball was going out but Allioski let
him get a great cross in, which was pin point onto the head of a Millwall head
and he couldn’t miss. Poor defending from us. Before that BFP had made a good
save to prevent them take 5e lead. Aside from the BPF flapped and hesitated a
couple of times and the general feeling was that KiKo has a presence which BPF
does not ..yet.

We pushed forward and should have got back into it when Allioski took a bit of
a dive for a pen however Bamford missed it with a really poor pen. Bamford went
on to have his worst game for us. He’s a good player but this showed that he’s
not only a confidence player but against physical central defenders he may
struggle. I was surprised how much he did struggle today.

We deserved the equaliser because we had weathered the first 20 mins and
through Harrison down the left we were causing them problems. It was a great
goal with Pablo threading his shot through a busy penalty area.

I thought we’d go on to bury them but credit to them because they always had
something to offer on the break and at times our defending was dodgy. Their pen
involved Ayling firing across the box to try and tackle but he just ended up
hacking their man down. Stonewall pen, 2-1.

Second half, Bielsa decide to take Allioski off and put Douglas on. I’ve not
been impressed with Douglas’s defending and he wasn’t perfect but he definitely
stemmed the threat down the right and it was a good tactical move.

I thought we took control 2nd half bit it’s never easy against Millwall. The
equaliser was a comedy of errors for them as they failed to clear near the kop
enabling Douglas to cross to Ayling who put a great header into the back of the
net. Pandemonium.

The game still ebbed and flowed and although we were on top Millwall still had
moments. We took Jansson off for Clarke and moved Philips into the back four.
Clarke was pretty anonymous but with Roberts, Harrison and Pablo at them we
always looked like scoring. The final goal was the result of Roberts, who
played well all my match, teasing their full back then playing it into the
middle for Pablo to slide in and stick it in the net. Brilliant. Someone near
me commented that Pablo was our new Strachan. For me, he isn’t in the same
class, not close, but this season he’s having the same affect.

Scores:
Peacock - 6. Good save first half but he didn't give me any confidence on
crosses / corners.
Ayling - 7. Great goal and celebration. Defending dodgy at times but came
forward when he could.
Allioski - 3. Possibly his worst game ? He got caught time and time again and
didn't have the defensive abilities to stop it.
Jansson - 7. As always some good defending but also some I'm dead acting. He
also lost his head a bit second half and I think subbing him was another good
choice. Needs to sort himself out at times.
Cooper - 8. I thought he defended really well at times.
Hernandez - 9. Two great goals and he is on fire at the moment.
Kilch - 5. Never really got going and was second best to the little Millwall
fella (Ben Thompson apparently). I like Klich but over the second half of the
season I'd say at times he's been a bit of a weak link.
Philips - 8. I though Philips was exceptional. His passing, his tackling and
his ability to be in the right place at the right time making good decisions
show that his footballing brain is maturing. Very impressed.
Roberts - 8. I love this lad. He's got something special in that ability to
take a ball, turn and move away from an opponent. His confidence is growing
match by match and I think he's going to be a big player for us. Occassionally
he does the hard work then lays off a ball which is either slightly over or
under weighted. He needs to be a bit more careful at times.
Harrison - 9. Caused Millwall trouble all day and was our main threat.
Bamford - 3. Missed a pen (poor effort) and in general didn't recover from
that. He looked tired towards the end and the harder he tried the shitter he
looked. He's a fairly majestic footballer usually but second half he looked
like a slow John Pearson. Slightly worrying but I'm sure he's come back.
Subs:
Clarke - didnt really have chance - got the ball and was marked by 2 or 3
defenders.  Forshaw - came on and did his stuff including a 30 yarder that the
keeper nearly spilled into the nets. I know a lot of people don't rate Forshaw,
I do.
Douglas - I thought he did pretty well. He got stuck in and linked up well with
Harrison and Pablo.
The atmosphere at the end was brilliant especially with the news that Sheff Utd
had been beaten. It's gonna be tight folks.
