Went over to Leeds to watch it -did not fancy watching at home alone - and
glad that I didThe Ridings was full without being too crowded so was a good
atmosphere
I thought we pretty much dominated and controlled the game throughout and were
well deserving of the leadLike most I was worried about Dallas at left back but
thought he did very well, I also thought Harrison had a more effective game
than normal - the goal was down to him a lovely little flick and turn in the
build up and then a lovely cross for Roofe to finish
I think the injury to Forshaw helped in a way since Jamie Shack du du du du
showed a lot more enterprise and energy than Forshaw has tended to do
We agreed that the ref had a good game (although then lad was lucky to not see
a red for his two footed off the floor launch at the ball) and controlled it
well. As soon as we praised him though we both said 'watch him make a massive
blunder now we have said how well he is doing' - Lo and behold he then gives a
ridiculous penalty but fair play to him instead of sticking with his wrong
decision he did consult his lino and overturn it - just seen the interview with
Lampard - what a clown going on about 'human VAR and it should only be
overturned if it was clearly wrong' - even my wife said 'someone should buy him
a dummy'To reference the earlier post about 'fair play' -just compare his
crying to Bielsa when we did not get the nailed on pen v Brentford which could
have kept our automatic promotion hopes alive - "refs have the hardest job in
football and I do not comment on them" - total class
Got to be well pleased with the result - pre game we expected us to lose by 2
or 3 (and then have to listen to dickheads going '3 down , we can still win
look at Liverpool') and basically just wanted a result that gave us genuine
hopes of getting through - at 1 up we are obviously in control especially the
way the game went and them not have a single shot on target
It will be nervy and awful on Wednesday but at least we still have hope -
