Look at freesat here for an example (they have an EPG - programme guide so maybe better for her as it puts all channels in order Easy to get anything like this on amazon delivered to her direct in France. A british sky dish won’t be big enough though None of this is particularly expensive maybe €40 for dish £70 for a freesat box although you can get unbranded ones for as little as £20 on wish.com If you want anymore info drop me a line Matt Sent from my iPhone > On 28 May 2019, at 20:14, Richard Naef <[email protected]> > wrote: > > Hi, > > I've asked this before, but need a little more info. > > My Mum has moved to the lower Pyrenees and still has a yearning for UK TV, I > can get it via the Internet using various methods, VPN, Slingbox, FilmonTV > etc etc, but cos they are in the back of beyond their internet can get very > slow at times, so as to be unwatchable, no mobile broadband available and > Orange say Pfffttt when asked when fibre will be available. > > I've been offered a satellite dish, which I believe uses Sky broadcast, but > includes BBC etc. Does anyone use that so far south and does it work and if > so can you get subtitles and my mum's a bit mutt and jeff. > > > ttfn > > > Richard > _______________________________________________ > Leedslist mailing list > Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist > To unsubscribe, email [email protected] > > Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/ > > RIP Jimmy WAC-COE _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/ RIP Jimmy WAC-COE
