Feel pretty similar Dave - my hope for tonight rests on the idea that
WBA will come and have a go rather than parking the bus...I suspect
there will be goals.

Anyway onto my point that there is a very weird mood around LUFC at
present. Before the weekend we were still top and we had just
absolutely played derby off the pitch - commentator on BEIN was
saying things like " most one sided game ever seen, there looks to
be 4 or 5 divisions between them, how aren't Leeds 4 or 5 up," and
after 50 mins, "I wonder if a team has ever gone 90 mins without
touching the ball in the opponent's penalty area"Ok the end result
was a massive disappointment but if were not for the width of the
post or a missed penalty we would have won comfortably. Charlton
game we could have had a couple in the first 10 mins and deserved to
win ( just about)Instead we lost to their only attack via another
fluked goal - very similar to Swansea
So on the one hand we have deserved to win EVERY game so far, and
have lost 2 games to fluked goals and yet there is a massive
despondency around the place.
I am as guilty as most, at final whistle I said to my son, we will
never score and he jokingly said " what not score again all season?
" and my instant reaction was "yes, all season"
Now we all know I was , as usual, talking nonsense but that is how
I felt at the time and it seems to be the new mood around the club
So we really need a good result rather than a good performance
tonight , although both and a repeat of last year would be great
,and follow that up with a win at millwall, otherwise west brom
could be well on the way to taking one automatic promotion spot
(even this early in the season) and the fans and then the players
losing faith in the Bielsa way, and if that happens all is lost
Like I say it seems odd feeling that way after possibly our best 60
minutes under Bielsa and a game lost to a fluke rebound and when a
win takes us back to the top ,but I am going tonight more in hope
than expectation and that just feels wrong and very odd in all the
circumstances
As I said at the start "odd mood"
