Yep. It seems very unfair to cancel competitions or stop them where they are now. My preference: whenever it should be, this season's competitions should be completed as originally structured, and it is next season that you re-structure. For example, say we resume in November, we play the remaining games and gain, or fail to get promotion, whatever. The new season can kick off in January, and if you aim to finish by May, you might re-structure each division by splitting into two groups, and eventually sort out titles, promotion and relegation with play-offs.
Better ideas, anyone? JB -----Original Message----- From: Robert Heath <[email protected]> Sent: 29 March 2020 03:08 To: Leeds List <[email protected]> Subject: [LU] Silver lining? Grim days, Gentlemen. There seems to me to be no way this season is ever going to get finished, and the decision yesterday to just cancel the season for the lower leagues sets a worrying precedent. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: https://mailman.gn.apc.org/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] Find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslist/ RIP Jimmy WAC-COE
