An important win but we made very hard work of it To show how important the 3 pts were , a look at the table shows that if Fulham and the 2 below them, get the same amount of points in the second half of the season as the first, we ARE ALREADY safe ! I do think Fulham especially will have better second halves but it does both show how good we have been and how comfortable we should be in terms of staying upYesterday was a game of 2 halves, first we dominated and created a few chances we did not take - Harrison with the best oneIt was a real shame to see Llorente off with an injury but it does look as if we have bought a dud - how we dropped Cruisance (sp) after a medical but passed llorente is anyones guessThe good bits were Rod & Raf, the 2 goals ( what a finish by Harrison) the save by Meslier and the win.Bad bits the total lack of control for much of the second half, wayward passing, vulnerability at set pieces and the dive by Rodrigo We seem to have lost our mojo a bit and looked like we were playing ordinary football not Bielsaball for much of the second half. The quality of R&R did shine through and was enough to get us over the lineIn praise of Bielsa I have told my brothers " we dont dive, play act, waste time or argue with refs" so you can imagine ther texts from them when Rodrigo went down - luckily I did preface my remarks with " as a rule " so sort of wheedled my way out of it by saying Rodrigo a new recruit who will learn ( dont think they believed me)I thought what he did was very poor ( not sure how various papers made him not spitting a massive headline) so was interested in the square ball take on it - they seemed to think he was laughing whilst on the floor and it was a piss take - I thought it was play acting to get the lad sent off ???So a few hard games coming up but even after our supposed recent blip the MOTD form table had us best of the bottom ten teams in the last 5 games We are very much a work in progress but we do seem to have a 7 year plan - stay up and consolidate, go for Europa cup place 3-4 years then CL in 5-7 years.
