Are you sure there's not a time lens distortion there? At Tottenham it was 3'6 too at that time (1'6 for a reserve match - the only ones I went to on my own) but that was for boys. It was still 17 1/2 np after decimalisation, still for boys. I'll ask mi dad but I think adult prices were round the 8 or 9 shillings mark.
Did you grow up in the summer of 1971?
