Sounds like a banda machine! Not sure what the process was called but
the main outcome was purple hands for days after using one.

Back in the day before we had photocopiers - yes Junior, there once was
such a time - we duplicated handouts, newsletters etc. on a machine with
a rotating drum (I think).
What was the machine and the process called. Can't remember at all.
