I think Bielsa had to go. Wilko got sacked on the back of a hiding from Scum at
home but he never had a string of results like we've just had. In fact, I don't
think any Leeds manager in history has had a string of results like we've just
witnessed. Yes times have changed and the gap between the top teams has
widened, but to lose 4-0 at home to Spurs is unheard of and yes we could have
had a couple ourselves but they could have had 10.
That's not say I'm not gutted, I am, however I'm more gutted that a manager who
worked miracles to get us promoted and 9th in the table seemed to run out of
ideas and was unable to change direction. His continuation with a system that
just didn't suit the players that were available to him was incredible. Playing
Koch and Struijk in midfield when they clearly are not cut out for that role
was the biggest example of his stubborness but there countless other bad
decisions and tactical blunders.
Being a Leeds fan over the last few years and through Covid has been fantastic
and there's only one person to thank for that. Since his remarkable
transformation of a lower championship team over the Summer for that Stoke game
the team has over performed and played without doubt some of the best football
I've ever seen at Leeds. Bielsa, will always be a hero.
Now on to Leicester and Jesse's first team sheet. Looking at his credentials,
he doesn't look like a manager who has the credentials to manage in the PL but
we have to get behind him or we're down.
